CLASSES OFFERED
Hatha Yoga (Weds. at 5:15 p.m.)
Class
is ongoing, all-levels with a focus on
classical yoga postures, alignment principles and introductory yoga
breathing techniques. Hatha yoga focuses on the physical
poses of yoga practice, known as asanas. Class includes work
with various props (straps and blocks) as well as vinyasa (poses
linked together). Final relaxation (savasana) is part of
every class. All are welcome!
Open Hip-hop
Two words...NO STRESS! This class focuses on teaching
fundamental hip hop movements including basic body isolations and
enjoying dance. Open to all and no experience
necessary. We will do a core strengthening warm up including
abs, arms, and body isolations and will finish the class with some
choreography. Dance at your own level and get a great
workout!
Open Contemporary
Jazz
This class will focus on the basics of dance. It will include
basic posture and positions as well as leaps, turns, jumps and
choreography. If you are a beginner and have always wanted to
learn dance, come to the class! If you have been dancing for
years and miss doing technique work, come to the class! We
will do a jazz warm up, turns and leaps, combinations, and finish
with some choreography. Come express yourself!
Body
Sculpting/Conditioning
This co-ed class incorporates strength, endurance,
flexibility and balance with use of free-weights, stability
equipment, individual body weight and floor mats. All levels
of fitness are welcome as modifications are always offered.
All major muscle groups are targeted during this 60 minute class.
Double Step
This 60 minute co-ed class is a cardiovascular
workout that also builds core and lower body strength. The
class utilizes two steps, arranged in single file for additional
choreography. The movements are all in time with the music
and new choreography is introduced slowly throughout the warm
up. No dance background is required and all fitness levels
are welcome.
Basic Latin Dance
This class provide a unique way of eliminating the
treadmill and astill getting a great cardio workout. Learn the
basics of salsa dancing and improve your rythem,
technique and speed.
30 Minutes to FITNATION
Come on out for some fun and some intense interval
training! Get the body you want in just 30 minutes that would take
some at least an hour in the gym to achieve! Our routine
consists of constantly changing exercises that combine your own
body weight, some weights, and cardio mixed in while traveling
between stations. No real heavy weights are necessary!...The
best news is that this 30 minute workout is all
you'll need for the entire day! To wrap it up, we will go over some
important stretches to do after the workout that should reduce the
soreness for the next 48 hours, as well as benefit your own
flexibility going forward!. All the equipment is on hand...we
just need you!
Body Sculpting
A diverse sequence of dumbbell
body-sculpting (even the floorwork sometimes uses weights). For
maximum effectiveness, nearly every fast-paced exercise works
multiple muscles at once. JoAnn keeps it interesting with non-stop
movement variations - she's endlessly changing angles, tempos, body
positions, weight levels and range of motion. She makes the
transitions smooth and natural by always starting with a basic
routine, then gradually adding in the modifications. You'll get
maximum results in minimum time by working multiple muscle groups
at once The variety is amazing - pulses, isometrics, balance
training, tempo variations, stationary and moving exercises plus
lots of weight-room-style, body-sculpting
classics.
Kickboxing
Kickboxing exercise burn fat and build lean muscle as they boost
your sense of empowerment. This kickbox class range in intensity
from beginner to advanced. No matter what level you choose, you'll
find it both energizing and fun. JoAnn combines high-intensity
bootcamp and kickboxing moves. It’s a non-stop fat-burner
designed to keep you physically challenged. Each combo starts with
familiar, large muscle-group moves like repeaters, jogs, jumping
jacks and kicks and routines. That’s followed by explosive
bursts of bootcamp and kickboxing — squat thrusts, jump
lunges, side kicks and “double front kicks.” But no
slowing down; then you’re on to the next combo. It’s
all driven by JoAnn’s energy and great pop-hits music.
