Northeast-10 Announces 2007-2008 Commissioner’s Honor Roll
NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES 2007-08 COMMISSIONER'S HONOR ROLL
South Easton, Mass. - The Northeast-10
Conference has announced the members of the 2007-2008
Commissioner's Honor Roll. In total, a record-high 756
student-athletes representing each of the conference's 15 member
institutions are included on this year's list.
The Commissioner's Honor Roll is determined and submitted by each
institution's Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR). The annual
award recognizes student-athletes at each of the league's 15
institutions for their success in the classroom.
"It is with great admiration that I congratulate our
student-athletes on their accomplishments and success in the
classroom during the academic year," said Northeast-10 Commissioner
Julie Ruppert. "The Northeast-10 takes great pride in the academic
excellence of our student-athletes and I applaud them for their
accomplishments in the classroom as well as being able to dedicate
themselves to their respective sport."
The Honor Roll includes a gold, silver and bronze scholar athlete
list. Each Gold Scholar finished in the top five percent for grade
point average among student-athletes at their institution,
respectively. Silver Scholars finished in the top six through ten
percent and Bronze Scholars placed among the top 11 through 15
percent.
With 15 member institutions the Northeast-10 is the second largest
NCAA Division II athletic conference in the nation. It's 23
championship sports provide athletic opportunities for over 5,500
student-athletes, the largest such program of any Division II
conference.
