Pair of Setters Earn Northeast-10 All-Academic Honors

NORTH EASTON, Mass.- The Northeast-10 Conference announced the Fall 2011 Academic All-Conference Teams as football senior William Woodard (Walden, NY/Valley Central) and volleyball senior Ursula Vero (Bronx, NY/Cardinal Spellman) was honored on their respective teams.

Woodard started all 10 games on the offensive line for the Setters this past season. In the classroom, he posted a 3.54 GPA in the Lubin School of Business as a Business Management Major.

Vero had an outstanding senior season as she finished eighth in the NE-10 with 44 service aces along with 212 digs on the season. The Setters were selected to their third straight NCAA Division II Tournament and finished with a 20-11 record. In the classroom, Vero posted a 3.93 GPA in the Lubin School of Business as a Business Management Major.

To be eligible for selection to the academic all-conference teams, a student-athlete must have met and /or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team’s competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution. The Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference teams are chosen by a vote of a committee of athletic administrators and Faculty Athletic Representatives (FAR).
