2009-10 SETTERS NOTES

Volume 2, Issue 5
The Pace men's and women's basketball teams both went 2-0 this past week. The men's team came away with two upset victories over Northeast-10 Conference powerhouses Merrimack College and UMass Lowell. On the women's side, the Setters extended their winning streak to five games with victories over Merrimack and UMass Lowell. The men's and women's swimming & diving team for Pace finished their regular season off with a tri-meet against Bridgeport University and Ramapo College on Senior Day. Pace football senior Andrew Kulak was named to the 2009 Football Gazette All-Region Third Team Offense.  

Volume 2, Issue 4
Pace's men's and women's basketball teams both went 2-1 this past week, including the two games both teams played in Pace's Holiday Classic. The men's team beat out the Molloy Lions, but dropped a last minute loss to the Dominican Chargers during the two day Holiday Tournament. The Setters went on to beat the Assumption Greyhounds in a conference match-up later in the week. On the women's side, senior Taylor Losey eclisped the 1,000 point barrier against the Assumption College Greyhounds. Losey also had a 27 point performance on the first day of Holiday Classic in Pace's win against Bloomfield College. The Setters were unfortunately unable to rally back against Felician College on the second day of the tournament.

Volume 2, Issue 3
Pace's men's and women's basketball teams are currently riding winning streaks going into this week. The men's team is on a four game winning streak which included victories over Northeast-10 Conference opponent American International College and Concordia College over the past two weeks. On the women's side, the Setters are on a five game winning streak with wins over American International College and Post University since December 8. In this issue, we preview this week's games for both basketball teams, as the women's team hosts Nyack College, while the men's team travels to Philadelphia University.  

Volume 2, Issue 2
The Pace men's basketball team went 2-0 this past week, including a victory over the #20 nationally ranked Le Moyne Dolphins. The women's basketball team also went 2-0. One of the wins involved the Setters giving the University of New Haven women's basketball team their first loss in conference this season. Pace football receives the Northeast-10 sportsmanship award. The men's and women's swimming/diving team sets 18 new school records at the Northeast-10 Invitational.

Volume 2, Issue 1
The Pace men's basketball team dropped its first two games of the 2009-10 season with losses to Nyack College and Adelphi University. The Women's basketball team kicked off its season with a 67-45 victory over Adelphi. Women's Volleyball qualified for the NCAA Tournament to play against the University of New Haven. Volleyball players Nora Rugova, and Victoria Pompilus named to Northeast-10 All-Conference Teams, while football players Andrew Kulak, Ken Marcoux, and Patrick Lupfer named to Northeast-10 All-Conference teams as well.

Volume 1, Issue 9
Pace football won their first game of the 2009 season with a 20-9 victory over American International College. Women's soccer dropped its final two matches of the season, and Freshman Olivia Mapplethorpe was named to the Northeast-10's All-Rookie Team. Women's volleyball is still 6th in the new NCAA East Region Poll, but went 1-2 this week in Northeast-10 match-ups. The Pace equestrian team finished seventh at the United States Military Academy Invitational.

Volume 1, Issue 8
Pace football dropped an Northeast-10 game to the University of New Haven 49-27. Women's Volleyball remains 6th in the NCAA's East Region Poll, and went 2-0 this past week including a 3-1 NE-10 win over the College of St. Rose. Women's soccer dropped two conference matches. Women's swimming beat the College of Staten Island, while Men's swimming broke six records in a loss. Women's Cross Country runner Brianna Cano earned Second-Team All-Conference Honors after breaking Pace's 5K record for the second time this season at the NE-10 Championships.

Volume 1, Issue 7
Pace football fell in a heartbreaking 28-27 loss to Bentley University. Women's volleyball went 2-1 and 1-1 in conference this past week. Volleyball was also ranked 6th in the NCAA's East Region Poll. Women's soccer dropped two conference matches. The Pace swimming and diving teams opened up their season at the McCarthy Invitational.

Volume 1, Issue 6
Football dropped it's conference game against Stonehill College 34-14. Women's volleyball went 2-1 in conference match-ups this past week, and are currently riding a two game winning streak. Volleyball freshman Nora Rugova was named the Northeast-10's Freshman of the Week. Women's soccer fell to conference foe St. Michael's 1-0. Men's golf finished in fifth place at the Dominican College Invitational, the final event of the fall season.

Volume 1, Issue 5
Pace football fell to Northeast-10 foe Assumption by a 34-26 score. Women's volleyball won three straight matches including two shutouts over Dominican and St. Anselm to increase their win streak to four matches. Women's soccer fell to two conference opponents. Women's cross country freshman Brianna Cano comes in first place at the Mount St. Mary's College Invitational.

Volume 1, Issue 4
Pace football couldn't hold on in its game against Albright losing 26-20. Women's soccer dropped two matches to national powerhouses, including #22 Franklin Pierce University a Northeast-10 opponent. The women's volleyball team went 2-1 in matches over the past week. Volleyball also started its Northeast-10 conference schedule with a 3-0 loss to the University of New Haven, but then coming back with a 3-0 victory over Assumption College. 

Volume 1, Issue 3
The Pace football team failed to comeback against St. Anselm College losing 17-13. Women's soccer dropped three matches to Northeast-10 opponents including a 2-1 heartbreaking loss to St. Anselm College. The women's volleyball team went 3-2 since September 11th, including their trip to the University of Charleston (WV) Tournament where the team won two out of three matches.

Volume 1, Issue 2
The Pace football team dropped their season opener to Salisbury University 34-14. Women's soccer had a busy opening two weeks playing four games and going 1-2-1 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play. The women's volleyball team came out victorious in their home opener after losing two matches on the road.
