      <description>PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- The Pace baseball team had three players named to the NCAA East Region All-Tournament Team as senior Brandon Martineson (Prospect, KY/Warwick) and Bobby Horn (Stamford, CT/Westhill) along with junior Jon Kovel (Schenectady, NY/Scotia Glenville) garnered top honors. The Setters were selected as the #5 seed to the NCAA Division II Tournament in the East Region for their appearance in the D2 Tournament since 1985. Pace defeated Saint Thomas Aquinas in the opening round 3-0 before falling in their next two games.</description>

At half-time, the athletics department honored the 1998 squad that won a Northeast-10 Conference Regular Season Championship. That was followed by another very special recognition for the Michael Piegare Foundation which generously donated a gift of $50,000 to Pace Lacrosse to establish an endowed scholarship.</description>
