Pace senior men's basketball player Laurence McGhee has been named the SAAC Male Student Athlete of the Month for January. McGhee played in all nine games for the Setters this past month, and helped the team record upset victories over conference foes UMass Lowell, and Merrimack College.

In January, McGhee led the Setters in assists averaging 3.8 a game (35 total assists for the month). McGhee was second on the team in scoring averaging 12.8 points, and third on the team in rebounding averaging 4.2 boards throughout the month. He shot 46 percent from the field in January. The senior also led the team in scoring on January, 23 in Pace's upset victory over Merrimack scoring 19 points. McGhee would score 19 again on January, 30 against Bentley University.
