NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES BASEBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS
ARBURR AND CAWLEY NAMED TO FIRST TEAM; CORBETT NAMED TO THIRD TEAM

SOUTH EASTON, MA - As voted on by the conferences 13 coaches, Pace University juniors Matt Arburr (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern) (third base) and Jack Cawley (Bronx, NY/Iona Prep) (outfield) were both named to the Northeast-10 Conference Baseball All-Conference First Team, while classmate Dustin Corbett (Vestal, NY/Vestal) (starting pitcher) was named to the All-Conference Third Team.

Arburr, Cawley and Corbett were instrumental in guiding Pace (30-26/18-12 NE-10) to its third 30-win season in school history. The Setters finished fourth in the conference, earning a berth in the NE-10 Conference baseball championship and fell to eventual conference champion, Franklin Pierce College.

This season, Arburr played and started in a team and career-high 55 games, batting .315 (62-for-197) with career-highs in homeruns (12), walks (36), triples (3), total bases (116), slugging percentage (.589) and stolen bases (16), to go along with 12 doubles, 46 runs batted in and 41 runs scored. His 62 hits this season tied a career-high. Arburr led the team in slugging, RBI's, homeruns, total bases and walks. He led the NE-10 in homeruns and total bases, while ranking second in slugging, walks and RBI's.  For his career, Arburr has played in 149 career games, starting in 147 and is batting .316 (170-for-538) with 27 homeruns, 42 doubles, 72 walks, 121 RBI's, 112 runs scored, 303 total bases, while slugging .563 with a .407 on base percentage. He is tied for seventh all-time at Pace in homeruns, seventh in RBI's, tied for fifth in doubles, tied for 14th in hits, tied for 18th in runs scored and 14th in walks.

Cawley started in all 54 games he played in this year, a career-high. This season he hit a team and career-high .359 (74-for-206) with 14 doubles, three homeruns and triples for 103 total bases, to go along with 28 walks, 27 RBI's and 43 runs scored, while slugging .500 with a .440 on base percentage.  Cawley set new career-highs in runs scored, hits, triples, total bases, walks, slugging and on base percentage. He also set a career-best in stolen bases, swiping 32-out-of-34, which is good for second all-time for stolen bases in a single season. His 74 hits this season were also a career-high and fourth all-time in hits in a single season. Along with leading the team in batting average, hits and stolen bases, Cawley led the team in on base percentage, runs scored, doubles and total plate appearances. He currently ranks fifth all-time in steals in Pace history. Cawley led the conference in hits and stolen bases, while ranking seventh in batting average and walks, sixth in on base percentage and runs scored, tied for fifth in doubles and third in total bases.

Corbett had a career year posting a 6-5 record with a 3.32 ERA in 14 appearances, 12 of which were starts, this season on the mound. In 81.1 innings of work, Corbett allowed 32 runs (30 earned) on 79 hits, while walking 35 and striking out 67 batters, holding opposing batters to a .259 average. He led the team in wins, innings pitched and strikeouts. In the NE-10, Corbett ranked second in innings pitched, tied for second in wins and tied for third in strikeouts and games started. Facing elimination in the NE-10 Conference Tournament, Corbett tossed a gem against host UMass Lowell, going 7.1 shutout innings, allowing just three hits and three walks, while striking out three as Pace would go on to win 4-0.
