BASEBALL SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER WITH #9 WEST CHESTER

WEST CHESTER, PA- The Setters used a 13-run third inning to key a 13-3 win in the first game of the twin bill but fell in the nightcap 3-2. The Setters move their record to 8-4 on the season, while West Chester stands at 17-2.

For the twin bill, Chris Spatkowski (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern) went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a pair of walks on the day. Vinny Dammann (Mullica Hill, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored. Jack Cawley (Bronx, NY/Iona Prep) collected three hits in six at-bats, drove in one run and scored two runs, while going 2-for-2 in stolen bases.

On the hill, Tommy Parry (Wayne, PA/Conestoga) tossed 6 1/3 innings, allowing 10 hits and three runs, while striking out one, picking up the win. Chris Camastro (Lagrangeville, NY/Arlington) pitched the final 2/3 of an inning, allowing one hit. In the nightcap, Salvatore DePaola (East Meadow, NY/Kellenberg Memorial) started, tossing 3 1/3 innings allowing two hits and three unearned runs, while recording one strikeout. The Setters bullpen finished strong as Frank Luongo (West Harrison, NY/West Harrison), Aaron Zrenda (Niantic, CT/Loomis Chaffee Prep) and Michael Sciarretta (Stamford, CT/Stamford) shut out West Chester over the final 2 2/3 innings, only allowing one hit.

Pace returns to action when they travel to Wilson, NC to take on Barton College for a double header on Tuesday, March 18 scheduled for 12 pm first pitch.
