NEIL ROSS NAMED NE-10 PLAYER OF THE
WEEK
Cawley and Dammann Named to Weekly Honor Roll
SOUTH EASTON, MA - Pace University senior outfielder Neil Ross (Cortland Manor, NY/Panas) has been named the Northest-10 Conference Baseball Player of the Week, for the week ending March 23rd. Classmate Jack Cawley (Bronx, NY/Iona Prep) and sophomore Vinny Dammann (Mullica Hill, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) were also honored for their efforts this past week, as they were both named to the Weekly Honor Roll.
Ross batted .524 (11-for-21) with 10 runs scored, five RBI's, a double and three homeruns, while slugging 1.000 in seven games this past week. In a doubleheader split against #9 West Chester University, Ross went 3-for-8 with three runs scored and two RBI's. He went 2-for-4 in a doubleheader against Barton with a solo homerun and two runs scored and in a win over UNC Pembroke, Ross collected three hits in four at-bats with a pair of solo homeruns and scored four runs, while also stealing a base.
Cawley batted .357 (10-for-28) and slugged .679 with three homeruns, four RBI's and six runs scored, while also swiping a pair of stolen bases. Dammann batted .444 (8-for-18) with six runs scored, six RBI's and a homerun.
The Setters (10-7) are back in action today, Tuesday, March
25th, as Pace opens NE-10 Conference play against the
Greyhounds of Assumption College. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30
pm at Finnerty Field on the Pleasantville campus of Pace
University.
