DUSTIN CORBETT NAMED ECAC DIVISION II PITCHER OF THE WEEK
PLEASANTVILLE, NY - Pace University senior Dustin Corbett (Vestal, NY/Vestal) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Baseball Pitcher of the Week, for the week ending March 30th. This is Corbett's second award of the week as he was also named the Northest-10 Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, earlier this week.
Corbett posted a 0.69 ERA with a 2-0 record, while striking out 11 in 13 innings pitched this past week. He tossed seven innings, allowing two hits and no runs while striking out seven, earning the win over Assumption College and pitched six innings allowing one hit and one earned run, while striking out four, picking up the win over Southern New Hampshire University.
In five starts this season, Corbett has posted a 3-0 record with a 2.43 ERA and has recorded 31 strikeouts in 29.2 innings of work. Corbett is also holding opposing hitters to a .194 batting average.
Pace (16-10, 6-1 NE-10) is back in action on Sunday, April
6th, as the Setters will travel to New Haven, CT to take
on the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University in a
conference doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for noon. Pace
will next be home on Wednesday, April 9th, as the
Setters will host conference foe Bentley College with first pitch
scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Home games are played at Finnerty Field on
the Pleasantville campus of Pace University.
