BASEBALL ANNOUNCES RECRUITING CLASS FOR 2010 SEASON
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- Pace University's baseball coach Henry Manning has announced his recruiting class for the 2010 season.
Brian Sundberg (Westbury, NY) helped his team win the Nassau County, and Long Island Championships eventually advancing to the state finals. Individually Sundberg was named to All-County, and All-State teams as a third baseman, and a pitcher.
Eddie Byrne (Yonkers, NY) was named as an Honorable Mention for the All-Westchester County team in 2009, along with becoming the Pitcher of the Year at his school during his senior year. In his junior year, Byrne pitched a no-hitter.
Charlie Galasso (Harrison, NY) was named to the All-League and All-Section 1 teams in his senior year.
Brandon Martineson (Warwick, NY) was selected to the 2009 First Team Section 9 All-Star, along with being named the 2009 MVP of the Warwick Valley High School baseball team. Martinsen also played for the North Jersey Cardinals scout team, and was named MVP of the Bayside Yankee's Liberty Tournament in 2009.
Robert Horn (Stamford, CT) was a three year varsity starter who, in 2009 received his team's coach's award, and was named to the All FCIAC First Team as his team's captain. In 2008 Horn was part of the Class LL Connecticut State Champion team.
