PACE FIFTH IN THE REGION AFTER ALL REGION

READINGTON, NJ- The Pace University equestrian team has become fifth overall in their region after All Region. The Setters have 44 points total. At All Region the Setters tied with Drew University with 24 points.

Caroline O'Connell (Saint James, NY/Smithtown West) and, Jackie Smith (Douglaston, NY/Cardozo) both turned in solid performances in the Open Fences competition with O'Connell coming in second and, Smith coming in third.

Jan Kutscher (Stockton, NJ/Solebury) finished fourth in the Intermediate Fences competition, while Mary Beth Dixon (North Little Rock, AR/North Little Rock) placed fifth in the Novice Fences.

In the Open Flats event, Rebeccas Page (Syracuse, NY/Bishop Ludden) and, Hillary Quinn (Goshen, NY/Goshen) tied for third place, while the duo of O'Connell and Smith placed fifth.

Victoria Keck (Wappingers Falls, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes) came in first for the Walk/Trot event.

In the Intermediate Flat, Kelly Herron (Burlington, CT/Lewis S. Mills) placed fourth, while Emily Swisher (Town and Country, MO/Parkway West) finished fourth in the Novice Flat event.

Sophomore Toni-Ann Lena (Mahopac, NY/Sacred Heart) placed second in the Advanced Walk Trot Canter event, while fellow sophomore Julia Bowler (South Salem, NY/John Jay-Cross River) finished fifth.

In the Beginner Walk Trot Canter competition Kathleen Marcason (Northvale, NJ/Chestnut Hill College) finished second.

Pace equestrian will return to action on Sunday, October 25 at Briarwood Farm in Readington, NJ for the William Peterson Invitational.
