Robinson named to First-Team Defense; Streany named to Second Team Defense

CLARION, PA - Pace University seniors defensive end Lee Robinson (New Milford, CT/New Milford) and linebacker Joseph Streany (Croton, NY/Croton-Harmon) were both named to the 2007 Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-Northeast Region Team. Robinson was named to the First Team Defense, while Streany was named to the Second Team Defense.

Robinson led the Northeast-10 in sacks (9) and tackles for loss (18), ranking third in forced fumbles (3). Nationally, he ranked 20th in sacks, 18th in tackles for loss and 40th in forced fumbles. Robinson was also named to the NE-10 All-Conference First Team Defense earlier this season.

Streany led the nation in tackles with 148, averaging 13.5 tackles per game, on his way to breaking the school record for tackles in a season, which was previously held by Brian Pirone's 142 tackles in 1994. He also broke the single-season record for fumble recoveries with six, which led the NE-10. Streany was also named to the NE-10 All-Conference First Team Defense, the Daktronics Division II All-Northeast Region Second Team Defense, as well as being named to the CoSIDA College Division First Team All District Academic All-District Team and the NE-10 All-Academic Team as the Professional Studies major has compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.62.

Robinson and Streany were instrumental in leading a Pace defense that was ranked 49th in the nation in total defense, 38th in rushing defense and 41st in turnovers gained.
