NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE FOOTBALL
PRESEASON COACHES' POLL
Foxboro, MA - The Pace University football team has been picked to finish 8th in the Northeast-10 Conference, receiving 31 points, as voted on by the conference's 10 football coaches. Southern Connecticut State University was picked to win the NE-10, receiving four first place votes to earn 91 points. The preseason poll was announced yesterday, August 1st, at the annual Northeast-10 Football Media Day Event at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
The Setters open the 2007 season on Friday, August 31st, when they travel up to Bangor, Maine to take on Division III Husson College. Pace will begin the home slate of their schedule the following week when they host conference rival LIU - C.W. Post on Saturday, September 8th at Noon. The Setters will be at home for six games in 2007, highlighted by in-state Division I-AA Iona College, as the Gaels travel to Pace Field on Saturday, November 3rd at Noon. The two Westchester schools renew a rivalry after a three-year hiatus that has seen 21 games with Iona holding the slim head-to-head advantage, 11-10.
