Northeast-10 CONFERENCE Names 2007 Football All-Academic Team
Joseph Streany named to NE-10 All-Academic Team

SOUTH EASTON, MA - The Northeast-10 Conference has announced the members of the 2007 Football All-Academic Team. To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution. The Northeast-10 All-Academic Teams are chosen by a vote of the Northeast-10 Sports Information Directors.

Pace University senior linebacker Joseph Streany (Croton, NY/Croton-Harmon) has been named to the 2007 Northeast-10 Conference Football All-Academic Team compiling a cumulative 3.62 GPA majoring in Professional Studies.

Streany has played in all eight games for Pace this season leading all Setters in tackles with 108 and fumble recoveries with five, which broke the school single-season record for fumble recoveries. His 108 tackles and five fumble recoveries are also best in the NE-10. Streany is also third in the nation in tackles per game, 13.5.
