NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES 2007-08 MEN'S BASKETBALL
PRESEASON COACHES' POLL

 

SOUTH EASTON, MA - The Pace University men's basketball team has been picked to finish third in the Northeast-10 (NE-10) Conference for the 2007-08 season receiving 191 points, including one first place vote, as determined by the conference's 15 head coaches. The Setters finished the 2006-07 season second in the NE-10 with an overall record of 20-13 and 15-7 in conference. Pace also earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament as the seventh seed, marking the fourth NCAA appearance in school history.

Reigning regular season and conference tournament champions, Bentley College, was chosen to win the league, receiving 14 of the 15 possible first place votes for 224 total points. The College of Saint Rose edged out Pace for second receiving 200 points.

The Setters begin the 2007-08 season at the Pepsi Tip-Off in Mankato, Minnesota as the Setters take on the University of Minnesota - Duluth on Friday, November 16th with tip-off scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Pace takes on host Minnesota State University - Mankato the next day, Saturday the 17th for a 9:00 p.m. tip-off. The Setters' home opener is set for Tuesday, November 20th as Pace takes on conference foe American International College at 7:30 p.m.
