SETTERS FALL TO STONEHILL 77-59
NORTH EASTON, MA- Pace dropped a Northeast-10 Conference game to the Skyhawks of Stonehill College 77-59 as Carlos Howard (Fort Washington, MD/Gonzaga High) led the Setters with 12 points. The Setters drop to 9-16 overall and 7-13 in the NE-10, while the Skyhawks improve to 19-6 and 14-6 in conference play.
Stonehill would get on the board early, building a 21-12 lead midway through the opening half. The Setters would rally to cut the game down to five at 21-16 on back to back put-backs for Wesley Dunning (Laurel, MD/Gonzaga High). The Skyhawks would break the game open, closing out the half on a 20-7 run to head into halftime with a 41-23 lead.
The Setters would cut into the lead midway through the second half, slicing the score down to 13 points at 59-46 on back-to-back scores for Howard. The Skyhawks responded and pushed their lead to as much as 24 points, maintaining a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
For the Setters, Howard's 12 points led the way for Pace, while Ryan Woods (Staten Island, NY/St. Peter's) chipped in 11 points and two rebounds. Adrian Mills (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) totaled 10 points and three boards, while Randy Wilson (Peekskill, NY/Peekskill) tallied seven points, seven rebounds, two blocks and three steals.
Pace returns to action on Saturday, February 21, when the Setters travel to Waltham, MA to take on the Falcons of Bentley University in a Northeast-10 match-up scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off.
