PACE FALLS TO ADELPHI IN NE-10 ACTION
GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Justin Alston (Bronx, NY/St. Raymond) led Pace with 16 points in the Setters' 99-62 loss to the Panthers of Adelphi University in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters fall 9-12 on the season and 7-9 in the NE-10, while the Panthers improve to 16-7 and 9-7 in conference play.
Adelphi would take a 16-11 lead midway through the opening half. The Panthers would use a 19-7 run to pull ahead 35-18, eventually taking a 39-23 lead at the break. Pace shot 35% in the first half, while the Panthers shot 48.5% from the field
The Panthers continued their good shooting in the second half, shooting 56.3% over the final 20 minutes to win by double digits.
For Pace, Alston led the Setters with 16 points on 4-for-7 shooting, and 3-for-5 from long range. Adrian Mills (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) totaled 15 points and six boards.
The Setters return to action on Saturday, February 6 when Pace travels to Worcester, MA for a Northeast-10 Conference game against the Greyhounds of Assumption College at 3:30 pm.
