PACE KNOCKS OFF #20 LE MOYNE 74-67
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Pace University men's basketball team used 15 points from sophomore Adrian Mills (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) to come away with an upset victory against #20 Le Moyne College by a 74-67 score.
The victory improves Pace's overall record to 2-3, and 2-2 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while Le Moyne falls to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
The Setters got off to a quick start by gaining a 20-8 advantage with eight minutes remaining in the opening half. The Dolphins would slice their deficit to within ten, but Pace remained ahead 28-22 going into the half.
Despite having the lead cut down, the Setters maintained the advantage through the second half to come away with the upset win.
Along with Mills, the Setters received a solid game from Carlos Howard (Fort Washington, MD/Gonzaga College High) who netted eleven points, along with dishing out three assists.
Laurence McGhee (Linden, NJ/Linden) scored nine points along with collecting five rebounds, and three assists.
The Setters return to action on Saturday, December 5 when they play the University of New Haven in a NE-10 conference game, for a 3:30 pm start in Pleasantville, NY.
