MEN'S GOLF TIES FOR 1ST AT LE MOYNE SPRING INVITE; LOSE IN
SHOOTOUT
SYRACUSE, NY - The Pace University men's golf team tied for 1st
place at the 2006 Le Moyne Spring Invitational, but lost in a
shootout. The Setters have finished in the top 3, including
three 1st place finishes, in every tournament this spring.
Leading the way for Pace was Mike Padham who was +2 at 146 (75-71) for the two day tournament. Padham finished seven strokes behind the leader at -5.
Dan Psinakis was close behind, tied for 5th place with a +4, 148 (70-78). Chris Gioletto finished tied for 17th with a +10, 154 (77-77) and Mike Dominici finished 25th with a +12, 156 (77-79). It was the fourth time this spring that the Setters placed four golfers in the top 25.
The Setters finished the first day in 2nd place at 299. Both first place teams from Day 1, Southern New Hampshire and St. Thomas Aquinas, shot identical scores of 311 while Pace shot a 305 on the 2nd day to move into a first place tie with Dominican. Host Le Moyne withdrew from competition.
