MEN'S GOLF FALLS TWO STROKES SHORT OF REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ON FINAL DAY
WHEELING, WV- The Pace men's golf team shot its best round of the week (313) but fell two strokes shy of advancing to the NCAA Championships. The Setters finished in a second place tie with Bryant University, who also shot a 951 for the three days but the teams both fell short of the champion, Le Moyne College, who posted a three-day total of 949.
For the Setters, Dan Psinakis (East Meadow, NY/East
Meadow) was the top Pace finisher, shooting a final day
77, for a three-day total of 231 to take sixth place in the
tournament. Michael Dominici (Norwalk, CT/Brien
McMahon) and Michael Padham (Warwick,
NY/Warwick) finished with a three-day score of 236, tying
for ninth place. Mark Huntington (Brewster, NY/North
Salem) totaled a 248 for the tournament tying for 28th
place, while Bill DeLucia (Hamden, CT/Notre Dame)
rounded out the Setters scorers, shooting a 255, good to 35th
place.
