MEN'S GOLF TIED FOR NINTH AFTER DAY ONE OF THE 2007 ECAC MEN'S DIVISION II GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

SYRACUSE, NY - The Pace University men's golf team posted a team score of 309 on the first day of the 2007 ECAC Men's Division II Golf Championship held at Drumlins Country Club, tying the Setters for 9th with Southern New Hampshire University and Wilmington College. Host Le Moyne College leads the 21-team field with a team score of 289. Bryant University (298), Goldey-Beacom College (299), Adelphi University (300) and Dominican College (300) round out the top-five after the first round of action. Brian Mackey of Dominican College is the individual leader after carding the low round of even-par 71, and holds a one-stroke lead over five others.

Senior Dan Psinakis (East Meadow, NY/East Meadow) is leading the way for the Setters with a score of 74 (+3), while freshman Matt Dziubina (Shelton, CT/Shelton) is a stroke behind Psinakis with a day one score of 75 (+4).

Senior Bill DeLucia (Hamden, CT/Notre Dame) and freshman Kent St. Charles (Wells, ME/Wells) both finished with a score of 80, while senior Mike Dominici (Norwalk, CT/BMHS) rounded out the day for Pace with a score of 81.

Pace concludes the 2007 ECAC Men's Division II Golf Championship today, Monday, September 24th.
