GOLF TEAM PLACES 11TH AT THE PETER KING MEMORIAL
RIVERHEAD, NY - The Pace University men's golf team shot a two-day team score of 653 (330, 323) to finish in 11th place in the 18 team field. The tournament was held at the Long Island National Golf Club in Riverhead, NY, and hosted by Dowling University.
Pace finished the first day of the tournament shooting 330 as a team which put them in 11th place after day one. The Setters shot slightly better on the second day shooting a 323 which gave them an 11th place finishing five strokes behind 10th place Dowling University. Post University won the tournament for a second year in a row shooting a 613 (302, 311) for the event.
Pace was led by senior Kyle Munoz (Mt. Vernon, NY/Mt. Vernon) who shot a 160 (78, 82) for the tournament. Sophomore Kent St. Charles (Wells, ME/Wells) also had a great day for the Setters shooting a 163 (86, 77) which included the low round out of any Pace player for the tournament shooting a 77 on Day 2.
The golf team will be back on the course Sunday, April 11 as they will travel to Syracuse, NY to compete in the Le Moyne Invitational.
