GOLF TEAM WRAPS UP SEASON WITH A 10TH PLACE FINISH AT THE AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONAL

 

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Pace University men's golf team shot a two-day team score of 686 (340, 346) to finish in 10th place in the 11 team field. The tournament was held at the Springfield Country Club in West Springfield, MA, and hosted by American International College.

Pace finished the first day of the tournament shooting 340 as a team which put them in 8th place after day one. The Setters shot slightly worse on the second day shooting a 346 which gave them an 10th place finishing six strokes behind 9th place College of Saint Rose. Adelphi University won the tournament shooting a 619 (317, 302) for the event.

Pace was led by senior Kyle Munoz (Mt. Vernon, NY/Mt. Vernon) who finished in a tie for 10th place in the whole tournament by shooting a 159 (80, 79) for the tournament. Sophomore Kent St. Charles (Wells, ME/Wells) also had a good day for the Setters shooting a 167 (83, 84) which put him in a tie for 27th place for the tournament.
