PACE PLACES 11TH AT NORTHEAST INTERCOLLEGIATE CHAMPIONSHIP
BLOOMFIELD, CT- The Pace golf team placed eleventh out of 17 schools, during the Northeast Intercollegiate Championship taken place at the Wintonbury Hills Golf Course. The Setters shot for a team score of 637 in the 36-hole event, while fellow Northeast-10 conference member American International College took home first place with a score of 591.
Pace was led by Kent St. Charles (Wells, ME/Wells), who finished the event in a tie for 26th shooting a total score of 156 (78, 78). Senior Matthew Herlihy (Croton, NY/Croton Harmon), followed St. Charles in a tie for 35th places with a score of 158 (79, 79).
The next to finish for the Setters, was Kyle Munoz (Mt. Vernon, NY/Mt. Vernon), who shot a 164 (81, 83).
Cory Patterson (Sandwich, MA/Sandwich), placed 63rd shooting a 166 (84, 82) and Rob Sorrentino (Tarrytown, NY/Archbishop Stepinac), followed right after Patterson in a tie for 64th with a score of 167 (77, 90).
The Setters golf team returns to action on Tuesday, September 29 when they travel to Riverhead, NY for the Dowling College Invitational.
