MOLLOY TOPS SETTERS IN LACROSSE 17-9

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- James Hammel (North Caldwell, NJ/West Essex) totaled five points on three goals and two assists as the Setters fell 17-9 to the Golden Lions of Molloy College. Pace falls to 3-8 overall, while Molloy improves to 9-1 on the season.

In the opening quarter, Hammel and John Kolesar (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) kept  the Setters in the game with a couple of early goals. Hammel got the Setters on the board first at the 11:11 mark, while Kolesar scored with 7:47 left in the period to trail the Golden Lions 3-2

From there, Molloy would score eight unanswered goals to pull ahead 11-2 midway through the second period. Joe Clark (Hopkinton, MA/Hopkinton) scored with 5:06 left in the period but the Setters would trail 11-3 at the break.

The Setters would get rip off their straight goals midway through the fourth quarter as Kevin Kadlick (Boston, MA/Catholic Memorial) netted a pair and Hammel scored on the run as well. Pace could not get any closer and fell 17-9.

For Pace, Hammel's five points led the way for the Setters, while T. J. Urban (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) tallied a pair of assists. In net, goaltender Timothy Matheis (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst) played 60 minutes, recording 13 saves.

Pace returns to action when they travel to North Andover, MA on Saturday, April 18 for a Northeast-10 Conference game against Merrimack College at 12 pm.
