MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES FOURTH AT GOLDEN KNIGHTS JOUST
LOUDONVILLE, NY - The Pace University men's cross country team finished fourth in the 4-team field at the Third Annual Golden Knights Joust hosted by The College of Saint Rose at The Crossings of Colonie with 92 points. Saint Thomas Aquinas College won the event with 30 points.
Leading the way for the Setters was junior Kency Gilet (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet Senior) who finished with a time of 31:53, good for 9th. Sophomore Mike Vitale (Mahopac, NY/Mahopac) followed crossing the finish line at 32:40 for 15th place. Brad Lewis of Saint Rose was the first runner to finish with a time of 27:28.
Enrick Garcia (Moriches, NY/St. John the Baptist) (33:55), Nick Molnar (Antioch, IL/Brunswick) (35:23), Ali Naveed (Sloatsburg, NY/Suffern) (38:36) and Ben Ogden (Alexandria, NH/Newfound Regional) (39:18) rounded out Pace's afternoon finishing 21st, 23rd, 24th and 25th respectively.
Pace returns to action on Sunday, October 21st, as
the Setters will travel to Easton, Mass. to take part in the
Northeast-10 Conference Championships hosted by Stonehill College.
