MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES 14TH AT NE-10 CHAMPIONSHIPS
EASTON, MA - The Pace University men's cross country team finished 14th at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, hosted by Stonehill College, with a team score of 421. The University of Massachusetts - Lowell and Stonehill claimed a share of the conference title as each team recorded 35 team points.
UMass - Lowell's Stephen DeWitt was the first runner to cross the finish line with a time of 25:07.7. Leading the way for the Setters was junior Enrick Garcia (Moriches, NY/St. John the Baptist) who was the first Pace runner to finish with a time of 29:10.0 placing him 59th. Classmate Kency Gilet (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet Senior) was the second Setter to cross the finish line with a time of 32:15.9, while sophomore Mike Vitale (Mahopac, NY/Mahopac) was right on Gilet's tail with a time of 32:31.1.
Sophomores Ben Ogden (Alexandria, NH/Newfound
Regional) and Ali Naveed (Sloatsburg,
NY/Suffern) rounded out Pace's afternoon with times of
36:58.3 and 38.32.4 respectively.
