MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PARTICIAPTES AT THE NCAA NORTHEAST REGIONAL
RIVERDALE, NY - The Pace University men's cross country team participated in the NCAA Division II Cross Country Northeast Regionals held at Van Cortlandt Park in Riverdale, NY and hosted by Adelphi University.
Junior Enrick Garcia (Moriches, NY/St. John the Baptist) was the first Setter to cross the finish line with a time of 35:48.7. Sophomore Ben Ogden (Alexandria, NH/Newfound Regional) was the second Pace runner to finish with a time of 37:19.3.
Junior Kency Gilet (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet Senior) and sophomore Mike Vitale (Mahopac, NY/Mahopac) rounded out Pace's afternoon with times of 41:50.7 and 42:46.7 respectively.
With only four runners participating, Pace did not meet the minimum requirement of five runners to record a team score.
Stonehill College won the NCAA Northeast Regional title with a
team score of 40 points, while Evans Kigen of the New York
Institute of Technology won the individual title with a time of
31:56.9.
