KETCHEL NAMED NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
PLEASANTVILLE,NY- Pace University sophomore D.J. Ketchel (Staten Island, NY/ Moore Catholic) was named Northeast-10 Conference Softball Player of the Week after the Setters bounced back from an 0-4 start to finish their Spring Break trip at 4-4.
In six games, Ketchel batted a team-high .471 (8-17) with a homerun, seven RBI and three runs scored. The sophomore shortstop also had three doubles for the week. Against Montreat, she went 3-for-3 with a RBI and a run scored in the first game while against Bowie State, she was 4-for-7 with a homerun, three doubles, five RBI and one runs scored in the doubleheader.
Teammate Julia Hunt (Jr., Mahopac, NY/Mahopac) was named to the
NE-10 Conference Honor Roll for the week after she posted a 2-1
record with 17 strikeouts. Against Montreat, she struck out seven.
Against Bowie State, Hunt held opponents to one run while striking
out seven in a complete game win.
