PACE DROPS NON-CONFERENCE TWIN BILL TO MOUNT OLIVE
MOUNT OLVE, NC- The Pace women's softball team dropped a pair of game to Mount Olive 4-1 in the opener and 3-0 in the nightcap. The Setters lose their first two games of the season, evening their record at 2-2, while the Trojans improve to 16-9 on the season.
The Setters were limited to four hits in the doubleheader as Christina Pane (Stony Point, NY/Cardinal Spellman) went 2-for-6 in the two games, while Alton Frisbie (Indian Hills, CO/Conifer) and Kelly Kinyon (Levittown, PA/Harry S Truman) each hit a double on the day.
On the mound, Kiryl Shada (Pleasant Prairie, WI/Tremper) pitched a complete game in the opener, allowing nine hits and four runs (three earned), while striking out two. In the second game, Alicia Parlon (Norton, MA/ Norton) tossed a complete game, allowing nine hits and three runs.
Pace returns to action when they travel to Wilson, NC to take on
Barton College on Wednesday, March 19 for a non-conference twin
bill scheduled for 1 pm.
