SETTERS FALL TO LE MOYNE; CLICH #6 SEED IN NORTHEAST-10 TOURNAMENT
WILL FACE #3 SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT ON WEDNESDAY

SYRACUSE, NY- Trish Allutto (Matawan, NJ/Matawan Regional) went 3-for-7 in the doubleheader as the Setters dropped a pair of game to the Dolphins of Le Moyne College 3-1 and 9-7. The Setters end the regular season at 21-24 overall and 15-13 in the NE-10, while the Dolphins improve to 36-10 and 24-4 in conference play. The Setters have locked up the #6 in the upcoming NE-10 Tournament and will face Southern Connecticut on Wednesday, April 29 at 3:30 pm in New Haven, CT.

The Setters were limited to three hits in the opener, scoring their lone run in the first inning on three Dolphin errors. Christina Rescigno (Elmsford, NY/Good Counsel Academy) (4-5) tossed a complete game, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits, while fanning two.

In the nightcap, Allutto went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, while Lauren Bell (New Windsor, NY/Newburgh Free) went 2-for-3 with three runs scored in game two. Vanessa Maloney (New Milford, CT/New Milford) and Kerri McLean (Woodhaven, NY/Archbishop Molloy) each had a pair of RBIs as the Setters came up short 9-7 in the game. Alicia Parlon (Norton, MA/Norton) (4-5) pitched a complete game, allowing nine runs on 13 hits, while fanning two.

The #6 seeded Setters are back in action on Wednesday, April 29 when Pace will travel to New Haven, CT for the First Round of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament against the #3 seed Owls of Southern Connecticut at 3:30 pm. The first round of the playoffs is single elimination, with the winner advancing to the double-elimination Final Four at the highest remaining seed.
