Claudia Stabile has been at the helm of the Pace University softball team for 24 seasons. Stabile has been the only softball coach in the program's history, compiling a 429-433-3 (.496) all-time record. 

On April 9, 2004, with a 3-2 win over Bryant University, Claudia Stabile tied the all-time wins record for Pace Athletics, matching former baseball head coach Fred Calaiccone's record of 398 wins.  Stabile would go on to pick up wins 399 and 400 the next day with a doubleheader sweep of Bentley College.

Coach Stabile has coached one All-American, three Academic All-Americans, 22 All-Conference players, 10 All-Region honorees, two Pace Female Athletes of the Year and two Pace Letterwinners of the Year, including the 2004 recipient - Angela Locsin.

Coach Stabile guided the Setters to Hudson Valley Conference title in 1987 and 1988, and the Empire State Conference title in 1989. The Setters advanced to the ECAC Div. II championships in 1987, 1988, 1989 and won the title in 2002.

Coach Stabile began her coaching career in 1977 as the head coach of the Bumpers traveling softball team, producing a 140-63 record in five seasons. She also coached basketball at White Plains HS, Westchester Community College and SUNY Purchase. She was named head softball coach at Pace in 1982.

A graduate of Fordham University, she is currently employed as the Dean for Students and Athletics Director at Maria Regina HS.
