SWIMMING AND DIVING TEAMS LOSE TO VASSAR
PLEASANTVILLE, NY - The Pace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams fell to the Vassar College Brewers. The men lost 137-81, while the women were defeated 118-82.
Senior Chris Jankowksi was honored before the meet as part of Senior Day. Jankowski placed 5th in 50-Yard Freestyle and the 200-Yard Backstroke.
The Pace men were led by Craig McClintock, who both took home first place finishes in the 1000-Yard Freestyle and the 200-Yard Backstroke. Andrew Lanham (50-Yard Freestyle), Trevor Paugh (200-Yard IM) and Larry DePrimo (100-Yard Freestyle) also had first place finishes for the Setters. McClintock, Paugh, Lanham, and DePrimo also took home first in the 200-Yard Medley Relay.
On the women's side, Rebecca Mazzerella swept the diving events winning the one and three meter diving events. Kim LaCroce (500-Yard Freestyle) and Jackie Pelliccia (200-Yard Breaststroke) also took home first place finishes for the Setters. The Pace women also won the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay with the team of Ellen Lynch, Jen Mayo, Mazzerella, and Natasha Nelle.
The men's team returns to action on Saturday, February 10th,
when they travel to Poughkeepsie, NY to participate in the Vassar
Sprint.
