SWIMMING AND DIVING TEAMS FALL TO VASSAR COLLEGE IN DUAL MEET
MEN LOSE 101-67 WHILE WOMEN DROP 80.5-39.5

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY- The Pace swimming and diving teams fell to Vassar College in a dual meet. The men's team lost by a score of 101-67, while the women's team also fell by a score of 80.5-39.5.

On the men's side, junior Craig McClintock (Valhalla, NY/Valhalla) earned 21 points with first place finishes in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:07.12) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:13.21), while taking third place in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:22.08. Classmate Peter Byrnes (Kingston, PA/Wyoming Valley West) picked up 15.5 points, taking first place in the 500-yard freestyle (5:34.14) and second place in the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.77) Byrnes finished tied for third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.33, earning 2.5 points.

For the women, freshman Callie Grace (Dalton, MA/Miss Halls) earned 18 points, winning the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:23.60 and the 200-yard breaststroke with a time 2:40.58. Senior Meaghan Morley (Delhi, NY/Delhi Central) picked up eight points, taking a pair of second place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (26.61) and the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 58.86. Erin Johanson (Wakefield, MA/Wakefield) won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:07.68 and took third in the 200-yard backstroke posting a time of 2:22.28, earning 12 points in the two events. Nicole Hensel (Richmond Hill, NY/Archbishop Molloy) netted 11 points, winning the 500-yard freestyle (6:44.79) and taking fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of (28.76). Ellen Lynch (Rockaway, NY/The Mary Louis Academy) totaled seven points and she took second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 3:03.44 and placed third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 14:04.45.

Pace returns to action when they travel to Bridgeport, Conn. for a tri-match with Bryant University and the University of Bridgeport on Saturday, February 2. The meet is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
