MEN FALL TO LEHMAN 65-104; WOMEN DEFEAT LEHMAN 89-75
PLEASANTVILLE, NY - The Pace University men's swimming and diving team lost to the Lehman College Lightning by a score of 65-104, while the women's swimming and diving team defeated Lehman 89-75 in a dual meet Saturday afternoon at the Goldstein Health, Fitness & Recreation Center on Pace's Pleasantville campus.
On the men's side freshman Ryosuke Kameyama (Goshen, NY/Goshen Central) posted three first place finishes, as he continued his record-breaking season, setting his third school record in the Men's 200 Free with a meet-best time of 1:49.16. Kameyama also came in first in the Men's 100 Free with a time of 50.62 and the men's 100 Breast with a time of 1:10.14. Along with owning the school record in the Men's 200 Free, Kameyama also holds the school record in the Men's 50 Free with a time of 22.49, which he accomplished against the College of Staten Island as well as the record holder in the Men's 100 Free with a time of 49.34, which he accomplished at the Bentley College Invitational.
Junior Craig McClintock (Valhalla, NY/Valhalla) posted a pair of first place finishes on the afternoon taking the Men's 1,000 Free with a time of 11:44.42 and the Men's 100 Back with a time of 1:02.04.
Leading the way for the women's victory were senior Meghan Morley (Delhi, NY/Delhi Central), sophomore Erin Johanson (Wakefield, MA/Wakefield), and freshmen Nicole Hensel (Richmond Hill, NY/Archbishop Molloy) and Callie Grace (Dalton, MA/Miss Halls) who all took home a pair of first place finishes. Morley took first in the Women's 200 Free with a time of 2:08.83 and the Women's 100 Free with a time of 58.80. Johanson took first in the Women's 200 IM with a time of 2:26.28 and the Women's 100 Back with a time of 1:05.98. Hensel took first in the Women's 50 Free with a time of 28.52 and the Women's 500 Free with a time of 6:44.79. Grace took the Women's 100 Fly with a time of 1:09.29 and the Women's 100 Breast with a time of 1:18.62.
Pace returns to action on Tuesday, November 6th when
the Setters travel to Newburgh, NY to take on Mount Saint Mary for
a 6:00 p.m. start.
