WOMEN'S SWIMMING VICTORIOUS WHILE MEN'S FALL TO NE-10 OPPONENT ADELPHI
GARDEN CITY, NY- The Pace women's swimming team came out victorious in a head to head meet against Northeast-10 opponent Adelphi University, while the men's team fell in the meet to the Panthers.
The women's side of Pace's team was led by Jenna Wood (Fairport, NY/Fairport) who ended the meet with two first place finishes in the 400-yard IM (4:50.77) and the 200-yard Backstroke (2:15.09).
Along with Wood, Callie Grace (Dalton, MA/Miss Hall's) also finished in first place twice with wins in the 50-yard Freestyle (26.36), and in the 200-yard Breaststroke (2:36.92).
Deveney Zebrowski (Hewitt, NJ/Academy of Saint Elizabeth) finished in first for the 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 2:08.45, and in the 100-yard Freestyle with a 58.74 time.
Laeh Yang-Dipietro (New Rochelle, NY/Good Counsel Academy) finished first in the 200-yard Butterfly (2:26.77)
For the men, Kevin Dickson (Coldingham, Scotland/Wallace High) placed first in the 200-yard Freestyle, while taking home second in the 200-yard Butterfly.
Christiaan Van Zyl (Dubai, United Arab Emirates/Dubai American Academy) had a first place finish of his own in the 50-yard Freestyle with a time of 23.47.
The Setters return to action on Monday, January 18 when they come home for a dual meet against Queens College set for a 3:00 pm start in Pace Pleasantville's Goldstein Fitness Center.
