DAY 1 RESULTS FROM NORTHEAST-10 CHAMPIONSHIPS
FRESHMEN WOOD AND DICKSON POST SECOND PLACES FINISHES ON FIRST DAY

NEW HAVEN, CONN.-  The Pace women's swimming and diving team stood in fifth place with 151 points, while the men were seventh with 67 points after the first day of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships hosted by Southern Connecticut State University. Freshmen Jenna Wood (Fairport, NY/Fairport) and Kevin Dickson (Coldingham, Scotland/Wallace High) each posted a second place finish on day one.

Wood took second place in the 500-yard freestyle event with a time of 5:10.49, while Dickson took second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.15.

Callie Grace (Dalton, MA/Miss Halls) took third place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.39, while Deveney Zebrowski (Hewitt, NJ/Academy of Saint Elizabeth) came in right after Grace with a time of 25.41.

Cassandra Gentile (Cortland Manor, NY/Walter Panas) took fifth place in the 1-meter diving event wity a score of 353.95

The women's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Wood, Grace, Alicia Holzer (Cromwell, CT/Cromwell) and Zebrowski took fourth place with a time of 1:41.50.

The NE-10 Championships continue Saturday and Sunday, February 5 & 6 at Southern Connecticut State University.
