WOMEN'S SWIMMING IS VICTORIOUS WHILE MEN'S FALL TO LEHMAN
MEN'S TEAM SETS THREE SCHOOL RECORDS

PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Pace women's swimming team came out victorious over Lehman College by a 147-72 score, while the men's team fell 135-89 in a dual meet for the season opener. The men's team set three new records in the dual meet.

Kevin Dickson (Coldingham, Scotland/Wallace High) set two new records in the 100-yard freestyle (48.95), and the 200-yard IM (2:04.58). Dickson placed first in both events.

The quartet of Christiaan Van Zyl (Dubai, United Arab Emirates/Dubai American Academy), John Nelson (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Westchester Community College), William King (Oakdale, NY/Connetquot), and Dickson set a new record in the 200-yard Medley Relay (1:45.90), which was good for first place in the event.

King placed first in the 100-yard Butterfly (59.94), and had a second place finish in the 200-yard Freestyle.

Van Zyl finished in first for both the 50-yard Freestyle (23.69) and the 500-yard Freestyle (5:16.48). Nelson also had a solid finish by placing second in the 100-yard backstroke.

For the women's portion of the meet, Deveney Zebrowski (Hewitt, NJ/Academy of Saint Elizabeth) placed first in both the 200-yard IM (2:21.68), and the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.27).

Jordan Beberman (Sharon, MA/Sharon) finished the meet with first place finishes in the 1000-yard freestyle (12:12.46), and the 500-yard freestyle (5:59.12).

Jenna Wood (Fairport, NY/Fairport) placed first in both the 200-yard Freestyle (1:03.09) and 100-yard Butterfly (2:02.50).

Callie Grace (Dalton, MA/Miss Hall's) placed first in 50-yard Freestyle (26.18) event. Alicia Holzer (Cromwell, CT/Cromwell) finished just behind Grace in the 50-yard Freestyle (27.14), and took first in the 100-yard Freestyle (1:00.51).

Laeh Yang-Dipietro (New Rochelle, NY/Good Counsel Academy) finished in second for the 100-yard butterfly (1:05.85) and the 500-yard Freestyle (6:06.98)

Chelsea Oberhauser (Cream Ridge, NJ/Notre Dame HS) had two second places finishes in the 200-yard IM (2:25.13) and the 100-yard Backstroke (1:05.14).

Erin Johanson (Wakefield, MA/Wakefield) also had two second place finishes in the 100-yard Freestyle (1:00.65), and the 200-yard Freestyle (2:09.66) events.

In diving, Cassandra Gentile (Cortland, Manor/Walter Panas) finished in first for the 1M and 3M diving events. Gentile scored a 228.15 in the 1M, and a 245.55 in the 3M. Randi Kelder (Kingston, NY/Kingston) finished second in both the 1M (214.43) and 3M (213.53) events.

Men's diver Eric Fletcher (Katonah, NY/John Jay-Cross River), placed first in the 3M event with a 183.38 score, and second in the 1m dive with a 176.33 score.

In the women's relay portion of the meet, the quartet of Wood, Holzer, Zebrowski, and Grace finished in second for the 200-yard Medley Relay (2:35.84).

The Setters return to action on Saturday, November 7 when they go to Assumption College in Worchester, MA for a tri-meet with Assumption, and St. Michael's College, for a 2:00 pm start.
