WOMEN'S SWIMMING EARN PAIR OF WINS, WHILE MEN'S FALL IN TRI-MEET

RIVERDALE, NY- The Pace women's swimming team came out victorious in a tri-meet against Manhattan and Hunter Colleges. The meet was held at Manhattan College. Unfortunately the men's side of the swimming team would fall to Manhattan.

One of the top performers in the tri-match was Jenna Wood (Fairport, NY/Fairport) with first place finishes in the 100-yard Backstroke, and the 200-yard Freestyle.

Junior Callie Grace (Dalton, MA/Miss Hall's) placed first in the 50, and 100-yard Freestyle races.

Chelsea Oberhauser (Cream Ridge, NJ/Notre Dame HS), took home first in the 100-yard Butterfly. Deveney Zebrowski (Hewitt, NJ/Academy of Saint Elizabeth) also came away from the tri-meet with a first place finish in the 500-yard Freestyle.

Sophomore Angela Calia (Bellmore, NY/John F. Kennedy) earned herself first place in the 100-yard Breastroke.

The foursome of Alicia Holzer (Cromwell, CT/Cromwell), Zebrowski, Wood, and Grace placed first in the 200-yard Medley relay.

Despite a loss, the men's swimming team for Pace still saw some solid performances.

Kevin Dickson (Coldingham, Scotland/Wallace High) earned two first place finishes at the meet in the 100, and 200-yard Freestyle events.

The quartet of Christiaan Van Zyl (Dubai, United Arab Emirates/Dubai American Academy), William King (Oakdale, NY/Connetquot), John Nelson (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Westchester Community College), and Dickson saw a victory in the 200-yard Medley Relay.

The Setters return to action on Friday, November 20 when they go to Poughkeepsie, NY for a meet with Vassar College, for a 6:00 pm start.
