DICKSON AND WOOD NAMED MEN'S/WOMEN'S FRESHMEN OF THE WEEK
SOUTH EASTON, MA- Kevin Dickson (Coldingham, Scotland/Wallace High) has been named the Northeast-10's Men's Swimming Freshman of the Week, while Jenna Wood (Fairport, NY/Fairport) was named the Northeast 10's Women's Swimming Freshman of the Week for their performances in a tri-meet against Manhattan and Hunter Colleges.
Dickson finished his week with two first place finishes in the tri-meet. The freshman took home first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.62 and the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.67. It is the second time this season Dickson has been given NE-10 Freshman of the Week honors.
As for Woods, she helped the women's swim team remain undefeated with two first place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke, and 200-freestyle events in the tri-match against Manhattan and Hunter. She finished the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:02.45, while finishing the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.22.
Callie Grace (Dalton, MA/Miss Hall's) landed on the Northeast-10's Weekly Honor Roll.
Grace also posted two first place finishes in the tri-meet against Manhattan and Hunter in the 50-yard freestyle (29.19) and the100-yard freestyle (56.79) events.
The Setters return to action on Friday, November 20 when they go to Poughkeepsie, NY for a meet with Vassar College, for a 6:00 pm start.
