DICKSON NAMED NE-10 MEN'S SWIMMING FRESHMEN OF THE WEEK
SOUTH EASTON, MA- Kevin Dickson (Coldingham, Scotland/Wallace High) has been named the Northeast-10's Men's Swimming Freshman of the Week, for his performance at the Northeast-10 Invitational held at Bentley University on December 5 and 6.
This is the fourth time this season that Dickson has received this honor.
At the invitational, Dickson was the top performers, finishing first in the 50-yard freestyle (22.03), second in the 100-yard freestyle (48.49) and 200-yard freestyle (1:46.32), and third in the 100-yard butterfly (53.92). All four of those finishes for Dickson broke school records.
Freshman Jenna Wood (Fairport, NY/Fairport) landed on the Northeast-10's Weekly Honor Roll.
Wood set four new school records at the invitational. The freshman set records in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.05), and the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.09) which were both first place finishes. The freshman also set records in her third place finish during the 200-yard backstroke (2:10.08) and her sixth place finish in the 200 IM (2:14.82).
The Setters return to action in the new year when they take on NE-10 opponent Adelphi University on January 14 for a 6:30 p.m. meet in Garden City, NY.
