Swimming and Diving

Billy McGowan begins his 2nd season as the Diving Coach for the Pace Setters and his seventh season coaching at the collegiate level.  In his first season with Pace, McGowan saw his divers Kim LaCroce and Rebecca Mazarella place 13th and 6th respectively at the NE 10 conference championship.  LaCroce and Mazarella also became the first divers for the Pace Setters to compete in the 3-meter competition, while Mazarella set a new pool record in that event.

Prior to joining Pace University McGowan spent three years at the University of Illinois, in the Big Ten Conference as the head diving coach.  In his tenure with Illinois McGowan led one of his Divers to a NCAA Division I Zone qualifying meet while 3 of his divers set new team records.

McGowan also heads the new Greenwich Marlins Diving Club, an age-group team making its home in the brand new aquatics center at the Greenwich Family YMCA. 

McGowan resides in Rye, NY.
