MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD TEAM FINISHES

WOMEN PLACE 10TH AT SILFEN
INVITATIONAL
NEW LONDON, CT- The men's track and field team finished in seventh place, while the women's team place 10th at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College.
On the men's side, Larry De Primo placed 15th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.87, while Giovanni Gallaread finished next, running a 11.89 and Ruben Pagan ran a 12.02. In the 400 meter dash, John Induisi was 17th with a time of 53.79. Kency Gilet finished 19th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:06.32. Enrick Garcia took third place in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 35:55.46. The 4X100 relay team comprised of Brandon Rush, Pagan, Induisi, ad Gallaread finished fifth with a time of 45.18. In the 4X400 relay, the team of Gilet, Ali Naveed, Maurice Little and Keneil Edmund took ninth place with a time of 3:45.76.
In the field, Sam Asbeck placed fourth in the long jump with a jump of 6.04m - 19-09.75, while Jeremy Singelton finished second in the javelin throw with a toss of 51-10m - 167-08.
On the women's side, Caylie Kachinski placed 21st in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:40.10, while also finishing 12th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:50.86. Erica Young finished fourth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 20:43.39.
In the field, Ashley Wallace finished third in the shot put with a toss of 10.87m - 35-08.00 and sixth in the discus throw with a distance of 28.05m - 92-00, earning nine team points on the afternoon.
