MEN'S AND WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD RECAP FROM NE-10 CHAMPIONSHIPS

LOWELL, MA- The men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships in their final meet of the spring season.

On the women's side, Erica Young finished in 9th place in the 5000 meter run with a time of 20:20.07, breaking the existing school record.  Safia McNeishie tied for eight place in the long jump with a leap of 4.75m - 15-07.00. Ashley Wallace finished ninth in the shot put with a toss of 11.08m - 36-04.25 and took 8th place in the discus throw with a throw of 30.92m - 101-05.

On the men's side, Larry DePrimo took 14th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.93, while Ruben Pagan finished 15th in that event with a run of 11.95. Maurice Little took 15th place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:07.36. Kency Gilet took 10th place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.53.

The Setters also earned seven team points in the 4X100m and 4X400m relays as well as in the javelin throw. In the 4X100 relay, Pagan, Little, JJ Induisi and DePrimo took 5th place, running a 44.64 for two team points and a new school record. Pace picked up one point in the 4X400m relay as Gilet, Ali Naveed, Induisi and Little finished in 6th place with a time of 3:38.16. Jeremy Singleton earned four team points in the javelin throw with a toss of 48.41m - 158-10. The team finished in eighth place out of nine teams.
