TRACK AND FIELD COMPETES AT THE SWANSON INVITATIONAL
The Pace University Track & Field Teams traveled to Middletown, CT to compete in the Swanson Invitational hosted by Wesleyan University.
The Men's team was led by Dan Carpenter who finished 1st in the Shot Put with a throw of 13.33m (43'9"). Carpenter also placed 3rd with a throw of 50.58m (165'11") in the Javelin. Other notable performances were turned out by Senior Enrick Garcia in the 5000m run with a time of 17:11.51 good for 3rd place. Sam Asbeck placed 7th in the Long Jump with a leap of 6.18m (20'3 ½"). And the Sprinters edged out the distance runners in the 4x400m relay. Larry Deprimo, Ruben Pagan, Ali Naveed, and JJ Induisi placed 6th with a time of 3:50.41.
On the women's side, the women's 4x800m relay set a new school record. Natalie Hinz, Sarah Rodriguez, Amanda Pnueman, and Erica Young ran a 12:00.45 good for 2nd place.
The Setters return to action when they travel to New London, Ct
to compete in the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College
on Saturday, April 19.
