VOLLEYBALL DROPS HEARTBREAKER TO SAINT ROSE, 3-2
PLEASANTVILLE, NY - The Pace University women's volleyball team lost a heartbreaking 5-set match to the Golden Knights of Saint Rose, 3-2 (30-26, 30-25, 20-30, 16-30, 12-15) in a Northeast-10 Conference match at the Goldstein Fitness Center. The Setters drop to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the NE-10, while the Golden Knights improve to 10-3 and 3-1 in conference play.
Junior Korena Johnson (Friendswood, TX/Clear Brook) led the Setters with 19 kills, while chipping in a pair of solo blocks and eight digs. Freshman Sianna Johnson (Long Beach, CA/Long Beach Polytechnic) tallied nine kills and three solo blocks. Danielle Furka (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) totaled 18 digs, while Stephanie Kazmierczak (Buffalo, NY/City Honors) recorded a team-high 26 digs. Ashley D'Agostini (San Diego, CA/Torrey Pines) finished the match with a 41 assists, while adding 11 digs.
Pace returns to action when they host Le Moyne College on
Sunday, September 23 in a Northeast-10 Conference match at the
Goldstein Fitness Center for a 1 pm start time.
