VOLLEYBALL WINS THRILLER OVER LE MOYNE
PLEASANTVILLE, NY - The Pace University women's volleyball team defeated the Dolphins of Le Moyne College in an exhilarating 5-set match 3-2 (27-30, 30-24, 30-21, 18-30, 15-11) in a Northeast-10 Conference match at the Goldstein Fitness Center. The Setters improve to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the NE-10, while the Dolphins drop to 6-11 and 1-2 in conference play.
Danielle Furka (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) tallied team-high with 14 kills and 28 digs. Victoria Pompilus (Mt. Vernon, NY/Mt. Vernon) totaled 11 kills and three block assists. Ashley D'Agostini (San Diego, CA/Torrey Pines) led the team with a 40 assists, while adding 13 digs and four kills. Korena Johnson (Friendswood, TX/Clear Brook) added eight kills and 17 digs, while Stephanie Kazmierczak (Buffalo, NY/City Honors) recorded 19 digs.
Pace returns to action when they travel to Brookville, NY to
take on LIU-C.W. Post on Wednesday, September 26 in a
non-conference match scheduled for a 7 pm start time.
