VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO ADELPHI 3-0
OAKDALE, NY - The Pace University women's volleyball team dropped a non conference match to the Panthers of Adelphi University three games to none (19-30, 21-30, 27-30) in the Dowling College Tournament. Pace falls to 7-6 on the season, while Adelphi improves to 12-3 on the year.
The Setters attack was led by a pair of freshmen, as Sianna Johnson (Long Beach, CA/Long Beach Polytechnic) and Victoria Pompilus (Mount Vernon, NY/Mount Vernon) totaled team-highs with five kills apiece. Classmate Jessica Anderson (East Northport, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) paced the attack recording a team-high 14 assists. Junior Danielle Furka (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) added a team-high 19 digs.
For the Panthers, Samantha Johnston recorded a game-high nine kills, while Brittany Addeo totaled a game-high 23 assists.
Pace returns to action tomorrow Saturday, October 6th
when the Setters finish the Dowling College Tournament as they take
on Millersville University at 1:00 pm and host Dowling at 5:00 pm.
