SETTERS DOMINATE MERCY IN HOME OPENING VICTORY
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Pace women's volleyball team posted its first victory of the season as the Setters rolled past the Mavericks of Mercy College 3-0 (25-13, 25-9, 25-9). The Setters improve to 1-2 on the season, while the Mavericks drop to 0-2.
Victoria Pomilus (Mount Vernon, NY/Mount Vernon) along with Susana Verdugo-Del Real (El Centro, CA/Southwest) led Pace with 10 kills each, while Pompilus add three blocks. Elyse Rowland (Antioch, CA/Deer Valley) totaled seven kills and seven digs, while Shea Hansen (Mesa, AZ/Red Mountain) totaled 21 assists and seven aces. Nora Rugova (Mt. Kisco, NY/Fox Lane) finished the match with five kills, seven assists, five aces, six dig and three blocks.
Pace return to action on Friday, September 11 when they travel to Charleston, WV for three matches at the University of Charleston Tournament.
